7/10 Open Wide 2.0 Bag Class

Open Wide 2.0 Supply List:

• Open Wide 2.0 Pattern

• Main, Lining and Coordinating fabric in the quantity required per the pattern for the size

  bag you intend to make. Instructions will be using the Medium size bag.

• 1⁄2 yard ByAnnie Soft and Stable (58” wide)

• Fusible Interfacing such as Pellon SF101 ShapeFlex (used for the border on the front of

  the bag).

• 11”, 15”, 18” or longer handbag zipper, depending on the size bag you choose

• Mesh fabric for the interior pockets

• Foldover elastic to coordinate with the mesh fabric

• Optional: 1” to 1 1⁄2” decorative ribbon (sewn in the center of the front border)

• Thread to match fabrics. (Note: you may want to use more than one thread color)

   

• Your best sewing machine along with a 1⁄4” foot and zipper foot

• A new 90/14 topstitch needle

• Stiletto (recommend the ByAnnie Stiletto -available at Little Split Peas)

• Easily removable marking pen/pencil/chalk in colors that can be easily seen on fabric

• Wonder Clips, pins, rotary cutter, scissors, 2 1⁄2” circular template

• Rulers: There will be rulers and cutting mats available in the classroom. You may want to bring a 6 1⁄2” X 24 1⁄2” ruler, a 12 1⁄2” or larger square ruler and/or a small 2 1⁄2” by 6” ruler

• Optional: 12mm (1/2”) bias tape maker

Homework to be Completed Prior to Class:

• Read the pattern instructions

• Print the labels on page 9 or 10 to cut out and attach to your fabric pieces

• Complete steps I-A, B and C: Cut and Quilt.

• Bring all cut and labeled pieces along with your supplies to class.
