•       Main fabric (body of the cases) - 5/8 yard
•       Coordinating fabric (lining) - 5/8 yard
•       Contrasting fabric (handle, bindings, and zipper pull) - fat quarter
•       Soft and Stable - 19" X 39"
•       Mesh fabric - 14" X 12"      
•       Zipper - One 30" double-slide handbag zipper
•       Fold-over elastic - 18"
•       Base stabilizer - 7" X 8" (Annie recommends Plaskolite, can be purchased at the hardware store and cut to size) 

Note:  We will be making the Large size train case.  If you prefer to make a zippered mesh pocket in the lid versus the slip pocket in the pattern you will need:  

•      Additional zipper that is 13” or longer 
•      Two pieces of Mesh:  13” x 8” and 13’ x 3”

Please Bring:

•       Please bring your best sewing machine along with a ¼” foot and zipper foot
•       A new 90/14 topstitch needle
•       Stiletto (recommend the ByAnnie Stiletto -available at Little Splitpeas)
•       Easily removable marking pen/pencil/chalk in colors that can be easily seen on fabric
•       Wonder Clips, pins, rotary cutter, scissors and 2 ½” circular template
•       Rulers:  There will be rulers and cutting mats available in the classroom.  You may want to bring a 6 ½” X 24 ½” ruler, a 12 ½” or larger square ruler and/or a small 2 ½” by 6” ruler
•       Optional:  12mm (1/2”) bias tape maker

Homework to be Completed Prior to Class:

•       Read the pattern instructions
•       Print the labels on page 6 to cut out and attach to your fabric pieces
•       Complete step A:  Cut, Quilt and seal the edges  
•       Prepare your bias binding
•       Bring all cut and labeled pieces along with your supplies to class
